Fishing on the areas fertile grass flats can be done year round. Redfish, Snook and Trout are the target species; most fishing is done with lightweight spin tackle and live or dead bait. Whether you are an expert or novice, you will find some of the best fishing and backcountry waters around when you visit Palm Island. Ride on the quickest, most comfortable boats and use the best tackle to land that trophy fish. It is our sincere belief that we are really catching memories that are disguised as fish!
This style of fishing is done out of comfortable bay style boats, preferred for three person parties, but some Captains will accept four. For the skilled sportsman, artificial and fly trips are the area finest test of fishing skill. Both considered sight fishing trips, with a two-person max, this can be a great way to experience the shallow water thrill of flats fishing. |

BACKCOUNTRY FISHING
Backcountry fishing allows the angler to fish in the serene waters surrounding the flats and mangrove channels of Palm Islands area sanctuaries. Your trip starts in a modern boat, specially built for shallow back country fishing. These boats are are fully equipped to ensure you enjoy a successful fishing adventure. Each boat can accommodate from up to three guests.
FLATS FISHING
Anglers often equate true flats fishing to hunting. Feel the adrenaline rush as you skim the surface in search for visible prey. Quietly approach the fish, precisely place your cast, and masterfully play the fish as it runs over the flats. Try your hand at landing your trophy fish – truly a memory to last a lifetime!
